🎶 Psalm Sing – A Joyful Outing

At Calaveras Presbyterian Church we believe worship should be nothing less than the people of God lifting their voices together in the very words God gave us to sing.
That’s why we are thrilled to invite you to an all-age gathering where the whole congregation — young and old — will sing hymns and psalms together in the beautiful Angels Camp Park!
🙌 No performance. No spotlight on a band.
Just the Church singing the songs of the King with heart, mind, and strength.
This isn’t a new invention — it’s a recovery of ancient Christian practice. The Psalms are called “the hymnbook of the Holy Spirit,” and for centuries the Church has sung them as battle hymns, laments, praises, and prayers.
They train us to think, feel, and fight like Jesus.
They build multi-generational worship muscle.
They declare to our county that the Lord still reigns and His people still rejoice.
🗓️ Mark your calendars!
Wednesday, March 11, 2026 (second Wednesday of March)
⏰5:30 p.m. at Angels Camp Park
Here’s how the evening will flow:
🎵5:30 – Beautiful, singable Psalm & Hymn singing (simple and well-known so everyone can join in confidently — even if it’s your first time!) 🙏Corporate prayer for our families, our church, our county, and the advance of Christ’s Kingdom will be mixed in with the singing
🍲6:00 – Potluck dinner! Bring your favorite dish and enjoy sweet fellowship
🏐After supper – Volleyball, basketball, or whatever fun breaks out until it gets dark!
As the days get longer, we’ll expand the evening even more!
No one needs to be a great singer. You only need a willing heart and a mouth ready to open. Whether you’ve sung all your life or this is your very first time, you will be warmly welcomed.
This is more than an event — it’s a night that we can set apart to sing the songs of Zion, eat together, play together, and pray together.
We believe gatherings like this will strengthen our families, knit our congregation more tightly, and send a clear, joyful testimony into Calaveras County that the Church is alive, singing, and advancing.
Bring a dish to share, bring your family, bring a friend, and bring your voice.
The Lord is worthy of loud, glad, scriptural praise — and we intend to give it to Him!
We cannot wait to sing with you.
For His glory and the joy of His people,
Calaveras Presbyterian Church
